Province Invests in Wind Energy

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is providing $45,000 to help the Onigaming First Nation study the feasibility of setting up a wind generation facility.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says the project could result in economic growth for the Fort Frances area community.
The study will involve installing equipment that will collect and assess wind data.
