Ontario wants to revitalize the caribou population in the
Kenogami forest.
Anglers, hunters and berry pickers could face some restrictions in and around Terrace Bay and Longlac.
But the Ministry of Natural Resources says it wants to plan
forest “blocks” cooperatively with current users so access to fishing, hunting and trapping isn’t completely cut off.
The woodland caribou is classified as a threatened species.
