Province Looking At Changes To Moose Hunt

The first phase of the province’s moose project is complete.
Recent moose population surveys show declining numbers of moose in some areas of northern Ontario.
Minister of Natural Resources Bill Mauro says they know something needs to be done.
Mauro says they’re recommending a couple of changes.
One deals with restricting the hunting of calves to a two week period.
The other recommendation is shortening the moose hunting season in 2016.
You can have your say by taking a survey on the MNR’s website or by commenting through the Environmental Registry.
