Ontario’s Education Minister says he’s committed to reaching a deal with the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Stephen Lecce feels the two sides are close, though he says sick days remaining one of key issues unresolved.
Lecce adds he’s a little frustrated by the timing of CUPE’s decision to strike which comes only few days after starting a work-to-rule campaign, but that he’s determined to reaching a deal and will do whatever it takes to keep students in class.
