The Wynne government says its not ready to force an end to the strike at Ontario’s community colleges, including Confederation College.
Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development Deb Matthews says they are hoping for a speedy settlement and they won’t be introducing back to work legislation.
Matthews says the collective bargaining process continues and she will respect those talks.
She is urging both sides to get back to the negotiation table.
Conservative leader Patrick Brown says the education of more than 500,000 students is at stake and the government needs to take action.
No new talks are planned.
