Finance Minister Dwight Duncan says the Ontario Government won’t be moving to regulate gasoline prices.
The cost is around 136.0 to 139.0 a litre in Dryden and as high as 145.8 in Sioux Lookout.
Duncan says regulating prices just doesn’t work.
He notes if the Province removed its 8% portion of the harmonized sales tax from gasoline, big oil companies would simply move in and raise prices by the same amount.
