Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle is out promoting his renewed Mineral Development Strategy.
He says the jewel of the plan involves a fund for junior mining companies that will be provided under the Northern Ontario Heritage umbrella.
Gravelle says they will provide $5-million in rebates for smaller companies to seek investment.
He believes this will make a huge difference in boosting the sector.
Gravelle says the new ten year vision for the mining sector has four main priorities that focus on innovation, safety, efficiency as well as growth and prosperity.
