The provincial government is no position to reopen outdoor recreational facilities, including golf courses, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and soccer pitches.
Health Minister Christine Elliott confirms there is no timeline as of now.
Elliott says there is no set date as medical experts are telling the government that we need to see a continued reduction in COVID-19 cases before they can start thinking about openings.
She stresses people still need to limit their mobility to reduce COVID transmission.
Although Ontario saw fewer than 3,000 cases Tuesday, the first time in weeks, Elliott warns the case total could rise again.
She adds the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations and patients in intensive-care units would have to go down and a backlog of surgeries would have to be worked through before the ban on outdoor sports and other restrictions can be lifted.
