A long awaited announcement for the City of Dryden has finally taken place.
The provincial Government has announced $685,000 in funding to fix the King Street Underpass.
The City will be on the hook for roughly $115,000.
Mayor Craig Nuttall has maintained that the current state of the road has become a major safety issue.
Prep work on upgrades started Thursday but no official time line has been released.
The Province is also investing $82,000 to upgrade roads in Machin.
