Applications are now being accepted for the Species at Risk Stewardship Fund.
The province is handing out money to local groups to help protect and recover plants and animals that are in danger of disappearing.
The Fund was created under the Endangered Species Act to encourage people to get involved in protecting and recovering species at risk through stewardship activities.
It’s open to aboriginal communities and organizations, academic institutions, conservation authorities, industry, land owners and farmers, municipal governments, non-government organizations and businesses.
The deadline to apply is October 21st.
