Education Minister Liz Sandals says she’s still hopeful they can agree on a new deal with the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
The union has ramped up job action which impacts maintenance and janitorial staff here at home.
Sandals believes they are making good progress on talks and plan to meet shortly to resume negotiations.
She says CUPE has been quite clear on what they are asking for and she believes the two sides can come together.
