Police costs might be coming down this year for some municipalities, but they are still too high.
Mayor Dave Canfield says Kenora is one of six communities still paying more than $600 per household.
Canfield says curbing the rising cost of policing is the goal of a new provincial committee he’s just been appointed to.
Canfield says the committee is being spearheaded by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.
He says the committee has only met once so far and have to have a report back to the province by the end of March.
