Provincial Funding for Catholic School Board

The Provincial Government in handing the Northwest Catholic District School Board $7,000 to help students get physically fit.
The Board will use the money to purchase equipment such as snow shoes, DVD programs and memberships to local fitness clubs.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly says the funding will be rolled out to all 5 of their Elementary Schools.
The Board has also been recognized for its gym programs by winning the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association Award.
