The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is spending more money in the Red Lake area.
Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry Michael Gravelle was in the community Thursday to announce $1-million for the development of commercial lots along Highway 105 and $825,000 for a major airport project.
The money will be spent on construction of a single storey airport terminal building and parking lot to handle an increase in airline passenger traffic.
The rest of the funding will go towards the installation of water, sewer and hydro on 10-commercial lots to attract new business.
