The Federal Transport Minister says there’s not much he can do to help out Greyhound Canada.
Greyhound has announced that its pulling out of Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba.
John Baird says busing is a Provincial issue, but they will help out however they can.
Baird is accusing Greyhound of using some bullying tactics to force a softening of the current regulations.
Greyhound says it’s losing too much money because of government policies that force it to serve remote communities, but is willing to continue negotiations to resolve that.
The Company is calling for a $15-million bailout package.
