The Ontario government is gearing up for they call the biggest expansion of Medicare in Ontario history.
As of January 1st, most medications will be free for over four-million Ontarians, aged 24 and under.
It’s called OHIP-Plus and Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins says it could pave the way for even bigger changes.
Hoskins says it is the biggest Medicare expansion in the province’s history.
All you need is a valid prescription and your health card, and young people or parents can get eligible meds at no cost from the local pharmacy.
