Provincial Liberals Pick Interim Leader

An MPP from the Ottawa area has been selected to lead Ontario’s Liberal party until a more permanent one is named.

John Fraser was named Interim leader after a vote by the six other Liberals elected last Thursday and other party executives.

Fraser has been an MPP for the past 5 years, but has been with the party for over 40 years.

He once worked with former Premier Dalton McGuinty, before his victory in a by-election when McGuinty stepped down.
