The City of Dryden is taking action to fix the leaky roof at the Memorial Arena.
The facility has been plagued with water coming down from the roof, into the lobby and office area, forcing staff to set up buckets on the ground to collect the water.
Treasurer Steven Lansdell-Roll says a consultant has advised staff that the condition of the roof is very poor, with several soft spots.
Lansdell-Roll says they will have to pull $112,000 out of capital reserves for the repairs.
However, he is optimistic that the City can find some external funding for the project.
He also mentions that they were originally intending to wait on fixes until next year, but the condition of the roof was too bad to wait.
Work is expected to begin this Summer.
