The provincial government is getting kudos for bringing in new legislation protecting Ontario’s provincial parks.
The Parks and Conservation Reserves Act was introduced earlier this week at Queen’s Park.
Evan Ferrari heads up the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and says the new bill is a step in the right direction.

Ferrari says he would still like to see a few changes made to the legislation, including the protection of parks from being polluted by neighboring industrial activities.
