PSA tests

Members from all sides are supporting an area MPP’s efforts to get a
test for prostate cancer covered under Ohip.
Currently, men pay $25 plus tax for the prostate specific antigen test,
or PSA.
Thunder Bay Liberal Bill Mauro admits false-positive results have
created controversy about the test, But most critics are not drs.
He says the test should be covered by medicare because early detection
of the cancer can save lives.
