The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it will provide what ever support is needed to students in the Red Lake area.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says the community as a whole has been shaken by the Bearskin crash that killed five people over the weekend.
Monteith offered his condolences on behalf of the Board at Tuesday nights open meeting.
The three passengers in the aircraft were all from Red Lake; a 53-year-old woman, a 53-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman.
No names have been released.
Monteith says one of the victims had a grandson in Junior Kindergarten in Red Lake-Madsen public school.
Another victim had a son in Grade 12 at Red Lake High School.
Monteith says staff at Red Lake High School have advised him that they want to deal with the tragedy on their own.
Meantime, school buse operations in the Red Lake area are back to normal today as Highway 125 has reopened.
