The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is welcoming 3-new schools into their system this Fall.
Upsala, Savant Lake and Pickle Lake schools are now under the public school board’s direction.
Director of Education Larry Hope doesn’t anticipate any problems at the new schools.
Hope says they also expanded and tweaked some of their curriculum.
Two Math specialist teachers will be welcomed into the fold this Month.
The board’s oral language program is also expanded to include Grade 2 teachers and classes.
Hope notes they are putting an increased focus on early literacy programming.
