The Board also serves 1,033 special needs students.
Early and ongoing intervention, constant monitoring, primary literacy and improved communication between staff and students are other components.
Teachers, senior administration and school staff will also be responsible for providing monthly updates on various components of the plan and student success.
The first order of business is that School’s must complete a Self-Assessment and School Improvement plan by the end of the month.
The Plan also spells out specific targets in reading, writing and math tests, with the ultimate goal a 7% improvement over last year’s scores.
