Test Results on the Rebound for Public Board

Last year’s test results for Grade 3, 6 and 9 students are on their way up, which has the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board smiling.
An increase was seen across the board for Grade 6 students.
56% of students met or exceeded the Provincial standard in reading, a 9% increase from the year prior.
61% achieved success in writing and 56% in math.
For Grade 3 students, numbers were up in reading and math; 71% and 56% respectively.
A slight decrease in writing results from 2008-2009, with 61% meeting or exceeding the Ontario standard.
The Grade 9 Math result was also encouraging as 79% of students achieved or went above the standard; a 7% increase from 2008-2009.
