Public Elementary Teachers Issue Strike Mandate

Public elementary teachers in Ontario have spoken.
Members of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario have voted 95-percent in favour of strike action.
The announcement was handed down Thursday.
The move gives teachers a mandate if contract needs aren’t met.
Negotiations between the province and teachers are slated to commence in January.
