Public School Board Budget Balanced

The Chief Financial Officer for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says he had no problems balancing the books.
The Board has approved next school years Budget with expenditures totaling $68 million, up 8% from a year ago.
Dean Carrie says they had some help from the Province, even with an expected drop in enrolment.
The Budget provides funding for a new later literacy program and computer replacements.
However, Carrie says the Board still needs more money for school renovations and teacher salaries.
