Construction of a new Water Treatment Plant for the Towns of Golden and Madsen will finally become reality.
The communities have been under a boil water advisory for over 3 years now.
Red Lake Mayor Dunc Wilson says Council has approved the tenders with some hesitation.
Tenders for the $9 million project came in 30% higher than expected.
Wilson says the upgrades are necessary due to tougher water standards set by the Provincial Government.
Engineers expect work to begin shortly after the Canada Day Holiday!
