An international leader in the field of educational technology is praising the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board for its progressive technological advances in the classroom.
Doctor Alex Couros of the University of Regina recently got a first-hand look at what the public board is doing to adapt to a changing world.
He says the Board is using a balanced approach of being able to use digital technology, while at the same time attending to other academic responsibilities.
Couros says he was really impressed with the number of devices, software and variety of technology available for students.
He says there is a responsibility for a lot of teachers to take on the ability to remember what it was like when there was no Internet and translate that to students who have always been connected.
