The government of Newfoundland and Labrador is taking a close look at one of the programs provided by the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says a delegation of 16 educators toured programs for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Kenora last week.
Monteith says the group asked for the visit in order to meet with staff, watch the program in action and learn more about its benefit to kids.
Monteith notes more and more school boards are taking a look at their “one-of-a-kind” FASD classroom programs to see how they work.
