The Director of Education of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says there’s room for growth in their Adult Education program.
Demand for the program continues to soar with more and more adults seeking a higher learning.
Sean Monteith says they have a big job ahead of them.
Monteith says the northwest is in dire need of adult graduates, noting there’s a high number of 20-plus residents without a high school diploma.
Monteith adds most good paying businesses require a Grade 12 minimum as well as other speciality credits.
He says Adult Education isn an interesting concept as it’s not funding by the provincial Government.
That’s why the Public Board has entered into a partnership with Seven Generations.
