Public School Board Treating Upcoming Year As Any Other One

The Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says they are entering the new school year the same as any other one.

This despite the fact there’s a cloud of uncertainty hanging over Ontario school’s due to a testy contract dispute between the province and teachers.

Sean Monteith says September is a time of energy, enthusiasm, excitement and renewal.

He stresses he won’t let anything get in the way of that and notes it’s out of their control.

Monteith admits the situation is frustrating as they don’t know what’s going to happen.

Monteith is hoping for some clarity on the situation in the next couple of weeks.
