Public meetings are being held in several northwestern Ontario communities to discuss new tax rates for unincorporated areas.
One session is being held at the Wabigoon Memorial Hall on August 26th.
The provincial government began implementing Provincial Land Tax Reform earlier this year.
That means homes located outside municipal boundaries can expect a small increase in their property taxes.
The maximum increase this year is $50.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation will be involved in the public meetings.
