Push Is On To Increase Organ Donation Rates

A push is on to get more organ and tissue donors in Northwestern Ontario.
This is Be A Donor month and the Trillium Gift of Life Network is encouraging people to register through its Be-A-Donor website.
President Ronnie Gavsie says despite record donor registrations last year, more than 1,500 people continue to wait for an organ transplant.
She says one of those waiting for life saving transplants die every three days.
Registration rates are high across the region.
