The exact spot where Terry Fox ended his Marathon of Hope in the Township of Shuniah remains without a marker.
It was taken down by the Ministry of Transportation to make way for a widened highway.
There’s a movement now to bring back the sign that showed where he stopped and Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle is one of those involved in trying to make it happen.
Gravelle says he hopes officials can find an appropriate place for the marker.
He stresses it’s important to remember the legacy of Terry Fox.
