More then 100-professional and amateur anglers will test their skills
on the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes as the PWT Tournament opens Wednesday.
Wisconsin’s Gary Parson enters the tournament as the favorite, while
Dryden’s John Butts sits in 36th place in the super-pro rankings.
Larry Snow of Kenora is the other Northwestern Ontario representative.
Opening ceremonies are set for 4:30 at the Memorial Arena, with the weigh-in’s
to follow.
Children events will be held from 3 until 5 at the Chris Pronger Arena.
All events are open to the public.
The first place prize is $45,000 in cash and a Lund-Mercury
19-foot boat.
