Queen on long term care food costs

Local long term care homes will be getting more money starting next month to help feed their residents.

Kevin Queen is the Chief Administrative Officer of Princess
Court in Dryden and says the increase in the daily food allowance to seven dollars is long overdue.

N002 Q: …improvement. (17 secs.)

Queen says they have to cook for specialized diets and the extra funding will make it easier to meet the actual cost of feeding their residents.

This is the second increase in the daily food allowance
this summer. On July 1st it was raised to five dollars and 57 cents.
