Testing for West Nile in this Region has concluded and it was an unusually quiet summer.
The Northwestern Health Unit says there were no west nile positive birds, mosquitoes or humans.
Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says the program will be a little different in 2009.
The Health Unit won’t be accepting dead birds, but will continue to check mosquitoe populations to determine the risk of the virus.
