Race for Mayor in Machin

A pair of experienced candidates are vying for the top post in Machin.
The names of incumbent Barbara Beernaerts and Garry Parkes will be on
the ballot next Monday.
Beernaerts is hoping her 15-plus years in Municipal politics
will carry her through the election.
Beernaerts says her main priority is commercial and residential lot
development.
Long-time Councilor Garry Parkes believes Machin is ready for change.
Parkes says he wants to work with the business sector to attract more
people to the community.
For Council, 8-candidates are going for 4 seats.
