Rafferty Named Official Opposition Critic For Pensions

The NDP is gearing up for the upcoming Federal election and a northern Ontario MP is expected to play a major role.
Leader Tom Mulcair has appointed Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty as the Official Opposition critic for pensions.
Mulcair says Rafferty brings significant experience as his previous work on the pensions file was driven by local challenges faced by workers at Buchanan during the company’s bankruptcy proceedings.
He adds middle class families are working harder but falling behind.
