The race for Chief of Rainy River First Nation was decided by just eight votes.
That was the difference between new Chief Jim Leonard who edged out the incumbent Chief Albert Hunter.
Agnes Grover was third in the race for Chief.
Two new members will join the Rainy River First Nation council, that being Tony Bombay and Nicole Cochrane.
They are joining incumbent councillors Allan Wilson, Marcel Horton and Robin McGinnis.
