Members of Rainy River First Nations have voted to approve an historic land claim settlement.
The agreement reached earlier this year between federal, provincial and band officials gives the First Nations more than 70 million dollars in compensation and more than 46-thousand acres of land.
More than 500 band members were eligible to vote over the weekend and 307 cast ballots with the majority indicating their approval.
A formal signing ceremony will take place with federal and provincial officials on the reserve in May.
