The Rainy-River District School Board admits there is room for improvement, but is pleased with the recent results of Provincial tests for Grade 3, 6 and 9 students.
Area students who wrote the test performed slightly below the provincial average. but Superintendent of Education Heather Campbell says the numbers do show improvement from previous years.
70% of Grade 9 students in academic math and 66% of Grade 3 students in Math achieved at or above the provincial standard.
