Admissions to Rainycrest Home for the Aged remain suspended as Riverside Health Care Facilities continues its new role as interim home manager.
Problems surrounding non-compliance issues prompted the province to take action but Fort Frances Mayor and Rainycrest Board Chair Dan Onichuk assures everyone that residents in the home are safe.

The Ministry of Health appointed Riverside as interim home manager recently and also brought in officials from Extendicare – a private health management firm – in an advisory role.
Provincial officials say Extendicare’s role will be short term only.
