The union movement to jack up the minimum wage to $15 an hour is gaining some steam.
Protests were held across the region and the province Wednesday.
Student Joseph Thomas believes the minimum wage right now is not enough to make ends meet.
Thomas says students are especially impacted and many struggle with both work and school.
Terri-Lynne Carter believes an increase is needed to lift people out of poverty so they can pay for the basics.
