Rams Lose Hard Fought Battle at OFSAA

The Red Lake Rams came out strong but couldn’t hold off high flying Elliot Lake in the first game of the All-Ontario ‘A’ Senior Girls Basketball Championship in Cornwall.
The Rams dropped a 64-34 decision Thursday afternoon.
Red Lake went toe to toe with the 5th ranked team in Ontario, trailing Elliot Lake 17-16 after one quarter.
The Rams were 12 down at the break.
Haley Anderson powered the Red Lake attack with 13-points, while Nicole Spence chipped in with 10.
It doesn’t get any easier for Red Lake as they face #2 ranked Ridley in their second game.
The Tigers beat Kapuskasing 44-19 in their opening game.
Tip-off is 11:00 Friday morning.
