Natural Resources Minister David Ramsay is staying tight-lipped about
the Province’s plan to help the struggling forest industry in Northern
Ontario.
Ramsay says he wants to receive the final report from the Special
Advisory Council on Forestry before making any decisions.
Ramsay says he’s received the interim document and notes supporting
co-generation projects is one initiative being looked at.
He understands there is a sense of urgency for a number of
Regional Mills and he promises the Province will be coming out with a plan
in the month’s ahead.
