Ramsey announces forest package

The Province is pledging to spend $330 Million over the next 5 years to help the forest industry through tough times.
Nearly ½ the total, $150 million will be spent to encourage new capital investments in the sector.
1 area many wanted addressed was energy costs but little was announced in that regard however Natural Resources Minister David Ramsey says there should be some news in the weeks to come.

Ramsey is confident today’s announcement will go a long way to saving the forest industry but acknowledged there will be job losses as companies streamline their operations.
