After trying for ten years to find a market for a rare mineral ore deposit north of Kenora, Avalon Ventures hopes its finally found a company interested in its product.
Avalon is one of two companies working the Big Whopper site near Separation Rapids on the English River, which is rich in minerals such as lithium.
Don Bubar is president of Avalon and says they will be taking a large bulk sample of ore out over the next two weeks.

Bubar won’t say who the company is, but does says it tested some ore back in the fall and requested a larger sample.
