A mining company says it will be doing some work on a site just north of Kenora over the next few weeks.
Avalon Ventures will be taking a large bulk sample from its
Big Whopper site near Separation Rapids on the English River.
The Big Whopper contains a number of rare minerals such as lithium, and Avalon president Don Bubar says they have a company interested in testing the ore.

Bubar says they will be taking out 300 tonnes of ore for the bulk sample.
Moncrief Construction will be doing the work over the next couple of weeks.
