In a joint release issued by Dr. Barry Armstrong and the Dryden Hospital, Armstrong thanks the hospital for providing him with his first posting after leaving the military.
He says he is pleased to have had the opportunity to work at the hospital and to have been part of the Dryden medical community.
The hospital says it never intended to make negative comments about Armstrong through a April 2001 media release and it was issued for the purpose of informing the public.
The hospital clarifies its responsibility is to serve the interests of the community.
